Fiscal Sponsor Vendor Recommendations

  • 1.  501c4 donation platforms?

    Hi folks,

    With all the hub bub around ActBlue, I am trying to prep some alternatives in case folks want/need to make a change. We seem to be swimming in c3 options, but c4 is a little harder to come by. Any that you’ve explored or worked with? Also happy to come back and share what I find.

    Because there’s no tax benefit to giving to a c4, presumably any crowdfunding platform (e.g. GoFundMe) could work so long as the platform has the ability to segregate project funds if the c4 is a fiscal sponsor.

    Hi Sarah! At my previous org, we also offered Democracy Engine as an option for fundraising (in addition to ActBlue). A lot of the projects opted for ActBlue, so I’m not able to share back much insight for Democracy Engine. I believe Flipcause can also provide a fundraising platform for 501c4 organizations.
