Fiscal Sponsor Vendor Recommendations

  • 1.  Alternatives to Harbor Compliance/Labyrinth?

    Posted 01-15-2026 00:29

We have used Harbor for years to manage state registrations and licenses, including charitable solicitation, annual reports, registered agent, sales tax, and now all our LLCs.

There has been a lot of ups and downs to say the least but lately responsiveness and timely service have dipped and we need better. With a new full-time staff person coming on to manage compliance, it’s a good time for us to transition firms. Anyone have a referral?

I would love to know any alternatives as well. We left Harbor years ago and have been using Labyrinth and it started out great until Harbor acquired Labyrinth and it has gone downhill slowly since then. I would say since mid last year the responsiveness has been quite bad. Appreciate you uplifting this here.

We use Charity Compliance Solutions (https://charitycompliancesolutions.com/)

Looks like they are at capacity and not accepting new client :(

Same disappointed experience with Labyrinth and brought it all back in house. Will check out CCS!

We use Affinity Fundraising (https://www.fundraisingregistration.com/) I was only involved in one year’s registration process here so I dont actually have a ton of direct experience with them. That said I believe we have used them for a few years now, the portal I did interact with felt efficient and the process was pretty smooth.

I had problems my first year with Labyrinth. I have a new account rep this year so I was hoping for some improvement, but after seeing the above comments, I am beginning to have doubts.

Sorry but not surprised to hear that others are having similar issues. There’s clearly a need for a new player to enter the market! I am going to reach out to Howie at Pocketbook Strategies but I don’t know how much capacity his shop has at the moment for new business.
