  • 1.  Can someone point me to the discussion on donors who don't care about tax writeoffs?

    I swear there was a webinar recently where one of the discussions was about individuals wanting to give money to a sponsored project directly because they don’t need/care about a charitable tax writeoff and don’t want to lose the cost share percentage to the fiscal sponsor. Am I misremembering? Can anyone point me to the right recording?

    Hi Whitney. Not sure which session this was but it was most likely referring to a Model C. A donor could give money directly to a Model C grantee entity if they don’t care about a tax receipt. This wouldn’t work for a Model A.

    Thanks. I wanted to listen to it again to hear any requirements/considerations that would be best practices for this situation. Would you need anything in writing ensuring no one is misunderstanding the status of that “donation” and distinguishing it from the sponsorship?
