Is this a coincidence? We’re part of Candid’s early roll out for fiscally sponsored project pages. Yesterday I received an email from Candid introducing me to every.org and letting me know they have offered our projects their own pages on every.org, which has made the same move of no longer requiring a unique EIN to make a page. I have some concerns about that little tidbit, considering we as a sponsor don’t want to join every.org so why would we want them directly advertising to our projects (we do everything in Mazlo with a lot of automation, so it would be a nightmare to add another platform), but in the process, I checked on their website. With gofundme fresh in my mind, I decided to search on our name, and a page popped up. We did not create this page, and there is currently no admin attached to it. But you can donate to it.
Can some of you check if the same is true for you? I want to see if there’s a trend here.
