  • 1.  Difficulty sorting out Stripe payments

    Our issue is that Stripe donations coming into our one banking account do not identify which fiscally sponsored entity the funds are designated for. Do others have this issue? Any suggested solution?

    Hi Sarah,

    There are lots of ways to do this — the best will depend on your systems and workflows.

    Do you have separate stripe accounts for each project? Or separate donate links? Or is it all flowing through one payment link on your stripe account?

    We use our crowdfunding platform’s tracking system, exporting its info, then reconciling the total with the Stripe monthly report. As long as they match, you can then use the crowdfunding platform report to split things up in QBO. But of course there always also other things comin in from Stripe, so we go through those Stripe transactions first and manually assign them by project, so every cent is accounted for
