Overview of the Mentorship Program

Cadence: Each mentor-mentee pairing will last for four months, with our goal being to set up new pairings three times per year. Prior to each new pairing period, Mentors will have the ability to opt in or out for that period.

Expected Commitment: Over each four-month period, we expect Mentors to commit to one (1) meeting/call per month, at minimum. There is no specific time commitment but the first meeting may be a bit longer than the rest as you get to know your mentee. Mentors are, of course, welcome to continue meeting with their mentees after the pairing period ends, but they are not required or expected to do so.

Ongoing Communication: We’ll reach out to both mentor and mentee about 6 weeks after they've been paired, and again 3-4 weeks before each cycle ends. We will also send both people a survey when your partnership is over, so that we can gather feedback and learn how better to support future pairings.

For Mentees: In order to provide opportunities for more interested mentees to get a chance to experience the program, any mentees who go through a cycle and are interested in getting paired again with another mentor will be asked to submit a new request after the current cycle ends. They will then go to the back of the line.
