  • 1.  Fiscal Sponsors Using a PEO

    Hi all,

    We are starting to research the option of using a PEO to administer HR functions for true Model-A sponsored programs. We are developing a short survey for orgs that use a PEO, and we hope that you might participate with this.     We are literally running our first payroll through a new PEO today (Insperity), so could possibly participate. However, it would depend on when you would like info back. Our finance team needs a little break between that project + our audit.

    @Craig Cichy how did it go? I’m curious to know if you made the switch to a PEO. @Shava Lawson are you glad you made the change? We are considering this transition instead of replacing our payroll/HR staff person that recently resigned. The benefits of a PEO sound amazing, but I want to make sure to to anticipate the challenges, so I’d love to hear about your experiences. I’m particularly concerned about the transition phase, but any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks — we haven’t implemented any of that at this point. Not sure when we would, but it is the direction I would go if we were to take on true Model A. I did the research with Insperity as PEO.
