  • 1.  Fundraise Up- Moving accounts between fiscal sponsors?

    Hello,

    I was wondering if anyone using Fundraise Up know if they allow for accounts to be transferred from one fiscal sponsor to another without disruption of donors. We currently use Fundraise Up and we have an interested project who is also using Fundraise Up with their current sponsor and is worried about losing donors if they have to close down the account and restart under SEE.

    If anyone has any experience with this and can advise how successful or not successful it was that would be great.

    Hi Amber! While we use GiveButter ourselves, the issue we’ve faced with transferring projects is the limits of the Stripe account they use for processing payments. It’s owned by the fiscal sponsor who set it up, so the process of transferring ownership has been challenging but manageable. We’re also preparing to explore a similar situation with FundRazr. It’s probably helpful to contact Fundraise Up directly and also check if the program’s account is a standalone account or a sub-account of the fiscal sponsor. I hope this helps!
