    Hello!

Our current gift acceptance policy doesn’t include in-kind donations. We have several projects that ask about in-kind donations and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their policies and/or practices regarding in-kind donations.

Hi Kendall! Here is our (Build Missouri Health) language on accepting in-kind donations, which is both for our own policy and extends to projects:

BMH will take into consideration non-monetary goods and services that could be counted as in-kind on the organization’s budget. In-kind considerations will include usefulness of the item or service and alignment with BMH’s values.

We haven’t had anyone ask yet so no case study to refer to but hopefully the language helps as a starting point.
