Wondering if there are any Model A fiscal sponsors out there who allow their projects to engage in marches, rallies and protests and if so, how do you insure this type of activity?

We have many times, our insurance company is Cal Nonprofits. We just have to fill out the special events permit and submit it for review. The project pays for the additional insurance coverage (anywhere from $150-$500, depending on the event and risks). As an example, we sponsor the city’s annual MLK March, and have had no issues with getting coverage.

Thanks Shava! To be clear, if you had project that wanted to host, for example, a No Kings march that expects 20K people, you simply pay $500 (or whatever the cost is) and you’re good to go?
