OCF processes all expenses via bank transfer through Wise. Wise works about 90% of the time, but will often fail for transactions to OFAC sanctioned countries or those will a highly variable exchange rate.

Before we had different financial controls, there were instances where we would recommend Payoneer as a option for someone having trouble with a standard transfer to an account in their home country.

Now we simply default to a wire transfer in instances where Wise disallows a transfer.

Thanks for the question, @Anne Haddox (they/them). I’m curious to hear what others say but I believe some orgs use Wise.com (formerly TransferWise) and even things like Western Union. I think determining the right vendor can really come down to what countries you need to send money to and how often.
