    Happy Tuesday!

    In case it’s helpful to know: effective Jan 1, 2026, the 1099 reporting threshold increased from $600 to $2,000.

    This changes our contracting policy (previously, we required contracts for folks getting paid $600 or more in the calendar year) and wanted to share in case it impacts any of your processes, too!

    My understanding of this change was that it effected 1099’s for CY 26, but CY25 1099’s were still for $600 and up. Is that your read as well?
