For the past 12 years, Sid Hargo, has led a a graduate nonprofit leadership course at the UPENN School of Social Policy and Practice. The course is designed to demystify and rethink approaches to more equitable "evaluation" practices. Each year, Sid identifies a few small, mostly grassroots nonprofits to participate in the course. Selected nonprofits work with a team of graduate students to develop an actionable learning/evaluation plan and tools right-sized for the organization's capacity for their own data gathering and sense-making.
Sid has begun recruiting nonprofit organizations for the Fall 2026 course. Take a look at the attached summary for more information.
If your organization could benefit from participation in the course, please complete the Nonprofit Interest Form by August 14th.
