  • 1.  Success turning around a funder?

    We all know the challenges that fiscal sponsors (and their projects) can have with the funding community — and it feels like this conversation has been around as long as fiscal sponsorship itself!

    With that in mind, I'm curious if anyone in this community has had success in "convincing" a funder of the value of fiscal sponsorship (and hopefully altering their policies). It would be great if you can share anything that's worked -- as well as approaches that haven't worked -- so we can start building some shared knowledge in this area.

    We've made several strong attempts but not been successful. Most recently with a very large family foundation wishing to make a very large donation to a project. Under no circumstance would they consider it if we took an admin cost. Trust me when I say we made a very strong effort here and were met with: Nope.
