    Hey, FS friends!

    Do any of your orgs offer unlimited PTO and have a stated policy around medical leaves, in particular? (Not parental/maternity leaves, but general illness, surgery recovery, etc.) If so, would you mind sharing it (or a general summary of it) here?

    While we don’t offer unlimited PTO, I am curious how those who do offer it can put guardrails in place to ensure the offering isn’t take advantage of.

    Here’s our flexible PTO policy if helpful :) If employees are out for longer than 10 consecutive days due to illness, we would guide them to use their state’s FMLA (if available) or LTD.

    Paid Time Off

    Employees receive unlimited/flexible PTO up to 10 business days at a time with no time accrued.

    PTO can be taken for various reasons, including planned vacations, personal days off, illness, bereavement, etc.

    Employees receive 12 paid holidays annually, including one week between December 24 and January 1.
